BEKKI
Nothing new lately, still got ideas/projects/peices that I need to start on! oh, and my room got totally rearranged… it doesn’t look kiddish anymore; Kind of wish I had a picture of how it looked before. Oh well. Good thing is that I got lots of wall space now to hang prints up, without fear of them falling on me when I sleep! (longest side of the bed was next to the wall) :D
You can get the print here! C:

I call her Bratty Cake. A little girl who like to eat a lot of gigantic cakes even if they happen to be alive (no mercy!). She’s a cunning, devious, and determined character, who knows what she wants.
Print can be found here!

Hello hello! For the past two-ish months I’ve been looking around locally as well as online on where I can get some good quality prints done. I really want to get them printed locally and ship it myself, but it’s just not possible for me right now (money-wise, figuring out shipping pricing, figuring out the print shops pricing; I ended up confusing myself a lot). I also found some really good places online but shipping fees are a bit too steep for me.
In the end, I decided to use Society6 for prints. I’ll be opening a separate shop for other items at a later date, once I’ve finished making/ordering stuff!
You can check the shop out HERE! C:

Something new! It took a while to color…
Not quite sure how I feel about it; a bit neutral? I’m probably going to be churning out simple (but compelling! (hopefully)) pieces after this! Maybe. They always end up complicated in the end somehow. I’ll just have to try harder.
Other than that, I will post soon (in the next day or two) about prints! C:
Cheers!

I got this little blank book a while ago from Daiso! The paper in this book are good that they aren’t flimsy and too thin. My previous small one was only about $3 (but had really good paper for a sketchbook found at the dollar store) and was close to done when I got this new one.
Originally this small sketchbook was going to be a ‘sketch diary’, and I was going to try to do one small drawing a day or whatever, but it didn’t turn out that way. Instead it turned into my small book where I write down ideas or plan for future projects. (Small doodles and occasional sketches may be found here as well but most are done in the larger sketchbook.)
I’m almost done with this book, about 10-20 blank pages left!

BITS & LOOT
These are the things that I got/collected on my trip. Not a whole lot, but enough. (I lost my metrocard, pretty sure that I brought it home with me though :C ) Here’s a summary image, and if you want more pictures and text, it’s under the cut!

New York Trip!
The Trip was AWESOME! It was sunny and really really hot; I was unprepared. All of the speakers were SUPER super cool; my absolute favorites would have been Marcos Chin and Yuko Shimizu, cause I really love their work.
I didn’t get to do a lot of tourist-y things as class usually starts at 7-8 and ends around 5pm. We did get the weekend and around 5 hours (plus more if we wanted to stay out later) of free time after class though. As a class, we went to the Empire State building, Metlife building, New York Times Headquarters, Society of Illustrators, New York Public Library, Brooklyn, 3x3 Magazine Headquarters, Illustration House, and did a small mural art crawl. Some places I did manage to visit outside of class were, Kinokuniya the Japanese bookstore near Bryant Park, The Strand (AWESOME!), The Neue Gallery, Central Park, some shops (which did eat up quite a bit of time), Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty (saw from the bridge) and MoMa!
The week went by really fast, although it didn’t seem that way. Wished I had the energy and time to visit the Mets, Guggenheim, or the Museum of Natural History (especially this one!!), but I’m really bad with super hot weather.

So, I’ve finished (sort of) fixing up my website about 1 1/2 months ago back in May. It’s not quite done yet as I still haven’t put up the background image, so it looks pretty plain at the top.
Do check it out! The hover thing is entertaining for a bit.
And I am still in New York, it’s been really hot here. Taking refuge in Starbucks for their AC right now cause I have 4 hours before I leave for the airport tonight!

Finished it on time! They took a while to assemble. Made 15 small short accordions as part of my leave behinds… on a class trip to New York! (leaving today) Going to be there for a busy week before heading home again. :D
I’ll probably make some things to go with the book when I get back.
