This was about…3 weeks ago? (wow!) Been meaning to upload this but kept getting sidetracked by everything else.
I was putting together my frames for SOI. (Also got lots of nice tips to make it easier and faster the next time I go frame something.) Ellie was already wrapped and done when I remembered to take pictures, which was okay, compared to last year where I forgot to even bring the camera.
It was an … adventure. From assembling the frames on a deadline, to hauling them to fedex (walked and got a bit lost; the directions I got was a block short), and then shipping cost panic! (400?! 270!? …. went down to 200 in the end, which was ok since I wasn’t even paying for it. (yay)) It was overall a fantastic day once everything was over. (FedEx dude was super helpful, sun was shining, got my pay stub, and got myself a new book.)

On Saturday a few of my friends and I got a couple of tables for Canzine West. It’s a zine/crafts fair by the Broken Pencil. I previously posted a picture of the zine I was working on and some buttons…they were for this event.
Top picture: The amazingly-talented Tina (left) and I (right) shared a table
Second picture: Yun’s hilarious zines and her “Bob” silkscreen (left), and Joslin’s spunky neon crafts (right).
Third picture: I forgot to take a picture of Lou’s table, so here’s her beautiful PORTALS zine. She also did postcards, which she posted all of them on her blog. This pretty much sums it up! I think you guys did a super amazing job!
We’ll be better prepared next time. C:

First update in a while! Making some stickers for Canzine! For those of you going to Canzine West, I’ll have a bit of stuff at a table that I’m sharing with some friends (since we all don’t have much ready … or at least that’s the case with me haha). I won’t be there, since I got scheduled to work. Boo.
And a little life update…
I haven’t been drawing since the end of summer. I also haven’t been on tumblr 24/7 for the past … two months? Life also got a bit more …demanding around that time. I got a part-time job, and learning to juggle that while also producing work was something that I was unused to. Mostly because when I went to school, I only focused on school and my work. It took a while to adjust.
So I decided to take a break, get out of my slump, adjust, and live a little.
Other than that, I also learned how to knit during my little break! I bought a lot of yarn … though I only started two scarves. one of which is hardly done … and the other is close but not quite done. I bought enough yarn for four scarves and I don’t know when I’ll be able to finish them!
Will update soon-ish!

BEKKI
Nothing new lately, still got ideas/projects/peices that I need to start on! oh, and my room got totally rearranged… it doesn’t look kiddish anymore; Kind of wish I had a picture of how it looked before. Oh well. Good thing is that I got lots of wall space now to hang prints up, without fear of them falling on me when I sleep! (longest side of the bed was next to the wall) :D
You can get the print here! C:

I call her Bratty Cake. A little girl who like to eat a lot of gigantic cakes even if they happen to be alive (no mercy!). She’s a cunning, devious, and determined character, who knows what she wants.
Print can be found here!

late night sketch
hoping I’ll finish on time

Something new! It took a while to color…
Not quite sure how I feel about it; a bit neutral? I’m probably going to be churning out simple (but compelling! (hopefully)) pieces after this! Maybe. They always end up complicated in the end somehow. I’ll just have to try harder.
Other than that, I will post soon (in the next day or two) about prints! C:
Cheers!

Finished it on time! They took a while to assemble. Made 15 small short accordions as part of my leave behinds… on a class trip to New York! (leaving today) Going to be there for a busy week before heading home again. :D
I’ll probably make some things to go with the book when I get back.

Finally got a chance to take photos of this book! (it’s not in my possession)
This is a not really small side project that started really late in the last semester (which wasn’t a really good idea, cause we were all really really busy). It’s a compilation of works from 11 (plus me equals 12) awesome people I know! The book has 120 pages in total, and was organized/put together by Sylvia and I, and with help from Lou! All I can say is that it was definitely a learning experience and that the covers are really really GLOSSY!
Anyway, you guys can check/preview the book out HERE!!

This was a class assignment for Editorial illustration this Spring semester, which was to create a cover for a magazine. I chose to do a New Yorker cover.
The second image is the revised version of the class assignment; since the article was on health care.
